۷Berkeh – Negin Akrami, Mostafa Sharifi: Haj Reza Fadaee has in the past several years become one of the well-known benefactors of Gerash. Participating in the construction of the Central Market and the Traffic Police building and also procuring the equipment for Amir-al-Momenin Ali hospital are some of his charity works in the past. Now, as his most recent works for public benefit, he is going to build the patient companion residence near Amir-al-Momenin hospital and a neighborhood park in Shahed street.
The patient companion residence will be located at the end of Dr. Sheibani street, behind the Central Market, in an area of one thousand square meters at an estimated cost of two hundred thousand dollars; and the neighborhood park will be built in an area of more than two thousand square meters at a cost of 80 thousand dollars.
“I thank God for giving me the opportunity to do these works”, said Mr. Fadaee about his charity works in an interview with 7Berkeh reporter, “and I will serve the people of my city as long as I have time in this world.”
Asghar Foroudi, the Governor of Gerash, said in a pre-opening ceremony for this project: “The necessity of building this patient companion residence is clear to everyone. Currently, about one hundred thousand patients are admitted each year in our hospital, while the total population of the city is 54 thousand. This shows that the patients come from neighboring provinces and many southern cities. After opening the radiotherapy clinic in the hospital, which will be the second of its kind after Shiraz, the number of visits will increase.”
Dr. Seyed Javad Mohaghegh, vice-dean of development and resource management in the Medical Sciences College of Gerash, also announced in this ceremony that in addition to this residence, Sheikh Ahmad Ansari Hotel will be built in front of the hospital in the future.
