Gerishna: The piercing pain of what happened in Mena in this year’s Haj reaches every corner of the Islamic world, even the whole world. Gerash, too, lost one of its young men in this disaster: Hassan Khajehpour.

The day of the disaster, Khajepour was reported to be among the multitude of the missing persons. Four days later, his body was identified among the deceased. To this day, 464 Iranian people have been identified as deceased, and many more are still missing.

Now, 7 days after the bereavement, Khajepour’s family and all the people of Gerash are still waiting for the return of his body, to be buried in the martyrs’ section in Martyrs’ Paradise, as decreed by the Great Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

Khajepour, 34 years old, was living with his wife and two little daughters in Shiraz. He went to Haj with caravan number 24016 from Shiraz.

Ali Kohansal and Didar Pourshamsi were also injured in Mena, but they were released from the hospital after a few hours.
