۷Berkeh – Raheleh Bahador: According to the fifth ranking of news websites in Iran, undertaken by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance on early May 2023, 7Berkeh was ranked 139th among 1800 news websites including national, provincial, and local news agencies.
“The Deputy of Press and Information Affairs of the Ministry of Culture evaluates the quality of the news media periodically,” said Sajjad Fathi, the president of the office in Gerash, “this ranking of news websites is undertaken in order to create a fair and professional competition and to discern the real position of each news website, with the aim of enhancing the overall quality of the country’s media.” ۷Berkeh was ranked 125th among news websites in Iran and 2nd in Fars province last year.
۷Berkeh is the first licensed news website in Gerash. This news team started its activity 12 years ago and received its official license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in 2014.
According to Fathi, 7Berkeh received 55 scores and was ranked 139th among all the news agencies in the country. Among the first 200 news websites, only three are from Fars province. “Eghtesad-e-Ayandeh” [literally meaning Future Economy] that covers the countrywide economic news and its central office is located in Shiraz, was ranked 82nd. Among the provincial news agencies, 7Berkeh from Gerash is the best news site in Fars. “In evaluating the news websites, criteria such as observing the principles of news writing, agenda setting, quick reaction to rumors and naming sources were the focus of the referees. According to referees’ votes, 7Berkeh ranked first amongst news websites of Fars province by producing professional content and covering the news of the city and south of Fars.”
