Haft Berkeh Cultural Institute of Gerash adds two publications to its products: a bi-weekly called “Gerash” and a bi-monthly called “Himeh” (which is a local term for firewood). Adding these two papares to the news website of Gerishna, the media section of this institute becomes complete.
“These are the first two papers whose licenses belong to Gerash and our institute,” says Mohammad Khajepour, the media manager of Haft Berkeh and the managing director of both papers, “we have been trying to get the licenses for a long time, and now we can stop publishing special issues for other publications.”
As Khajepour explains, “Gerash” will focus on news and reports and replaces “Afsaneh” the bi-weekly that is currently published by the same editorial board. “We will have much more liberty in reporting when we have a license of our own” says Khajepour.
The pages of “Himeh”, on the other hand, will be dedicated to special report coverage, commentaries, longer interviews and columns on mainly social and cultural issues. It will follow the direction of its predecessor, the special issues of Himeh that used to be published along with “Sohbate Now” a few years ago. Seven issues of that paper were published before, and its main focus was on outstanding researchers and people of the region, literature, folklore and other cultural topics.
