Haft Berkeh: In the first poetry night of “Ahle Beit” in Gerash, twenty poets from Fars and Hormozgan provinces read their occasional religious poems, dedicated to the holy family of the Great Prophet.
The poetry night was aptly held in the great salon of Abolfazl (PBUH) mosque on Friday night, December 10th, which was the penultimate night of Safar, a revered month in the lunar calendar, and also the night of Imam Reza’s (PBUH) martyrdom. It took more than 2 hours for all the poets, coming from different cities such as Shiraz, Jahrom, Lar, and obviously, Gerash, read their poems to the enthusiastic audience.
“We are holding this poetry night in the province this year. God willing, next year it will become country-wide,” said Mostafa Karegar, the president of the poetry night, in his inaugural report to the audience.
