Gerishna: Haftsaneh, the teen-ager weekly of the last summer, is revived this summer with a major change: it is biweekly and in the format of an online multimedia magazine. (Download the first issue here.)
The new format allows for more diversity. “We intend to present the news, reports and comments in different forms, like pictures, audio and video”, writes Mohammad Amin Noubahar, the editor-in-chief and the designer of the magazine, “in the first issue you see only texts and pictures; but other formats will be added gradually.”
Working with these new formats is made possible for this young group of journalists by attending a series of workshops to be held in Haft Berkeh Institute. Noubahar hopes that by the end of summer, they will have become acquainted with what is called “backpack journalism”, and published at least 5 issues of the magazine.
