7Berkeh – Raheleh Bahador: Ahmad Behzadi’s mountain climbing in Tange-Laghar in Gerash ended in his fall and injury; though fortunately, he was transferred to Gerash hospital by the help of the emergency crew, the mountain operation team of Gerash Red Crescent, as well as the skillfulness of the pilot of Lar’s rescue helicopter. The injured man was admitted to the hospital and his general condition was reported as stable.

“On September 15th a report of fall from mountain was announced to emergency crew,” said Naser Delkhosh, the administrator of Gerash 115 Emergency service, “a man, 48 years old, had an accident while mountaineering in Tange-Laghar. As a result of this fall, he broke his right leg as well as two lumbar vertebrae, but thanks to the timely actions of rescuers, he has been rescued.”

“Just after receiving the falling report, we launched the operation immediately,” Delkhosh adds, “we made a contact with the Red Crescent to cooperate in this operation. The mountain operation team of the Red Crescent were also sent to the place. However, the path was difficult to pass and we needed a helicopter to transfer the injured person. So, we made contact and requested help and the rescue helicopter of Lar joined us.”

Delkhosh emphasizes the significance of the pilot’s mastery in the success of the operation: “We should appreciate the pilot’s mastery since he landed skillfully on the peak of the mountain to transfer the injured man. The helicopter landed in the lawn of Gerash Red Crescent building and then the injured person was transferred to Gerash hospital by 115 emergency ambulance”.

According to the Publicity Relations’ section of Gerash Red Crescent, Mohammad Shekari, the head of this organization said: “It was noon that we had a contact from the Control Center of Pre-Hospital Emergencies of Gerash Emergency and we received a report of a fall and injury of a 48-year-old man in one of the mountains of Gerash. After coordination with Fars EOC, a mountain operation team from Gerash Red Crescent was dispatched to the site. The rescue forces reached the place after a two-hour walk.”
