Gerishna: On their way to Benaruyeh, the unidentified bodies of two martyrs of the Holy Defense were welcomed in Gerash on May 2nd, after the Friday Prayer.
These two “Nameless Martyrs” were amongst the thirteen martyrs whose funerals were held on the same day in Kenar-takhteh, Pasargad, Beyram and Benaruyeh in Fars.
“Nameless Martyr” is the title given to the martyred soldiers of the 8-years Imposed War with Iraq, whose bodies are found recently but cannot be identified. In Fars only, 162 Nameless Martyrs are buried in the highest and most visited sites of 52 cities. Gerash hosts 5 of these martyrs on top of Kalat.
